what's the default window size that safari opens windows in? the reason is i am using an ibook g4 and although the resolution 1024x768 is definitely usable, i wanted to know what apple kept the default at so i could maximize my screen real estate as apple intended i suppose.

i realized i could use the zoom button to make the windows as big as it is "necessary" by OS X's standards... great... i've had this for 6 months and i did not know exactly what zoom did. lol.

That's right, and if you must have a full screen button, then there is a workaround, mentioned more than once:

Make a bookmark in the Bookmarks bar, rename it Full screen (or whatever, mine is only called (F) and I have one called (N) that makes room for XRG on the right side of the screen) and change the address to:

javascript:self.moveTo(0,0);self.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight);

There you have your full screen button. ;)
