I’m on iPhone XR and Safari started behaving strangely after I updated my phone to iOS 17. Current version is 17.1.2. Issue is that often website just isn’t loading and it’s not a connection issue. If I close Safari (by swiping from the bottom etc.) and restart it again then it works.. until next time when I have to it again. This happens many times a day. I wonder if anyone has experienced similar issue?

I really don’t want to change browser because of this :(

I have the same problem with my iPhone SE. I tried other browsers and while the problem is less severe they unfortunately still have similar problems. It seems like a bug in the safari/webkit rendering engine which all iOS browsers use.

I think I figured it out. It was Private Relay. If I turn it off everything seems to work normally. Have to test it more.

Not Private relay in my case as I don’t use it. Both Safari and iCab (especially iCab) have issues with 17. As well as unexplicable behavior of a variety of apps. Not at all pleased with 17. I swapped sims and went back to my Gen 1 SE that runs 15. My GF is complaining about her SE3 and 17. Not Snow Leopard by any stretch. Just another bug ridden release by Apple.
