I'm looking for a Safari extension that allows the user to customize the Safari bookmarks drop-down menu.
For example, an extension that would offer the option to hide or delete the Reading List links within the drop-down menu.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't know of anything that will hide Reading List links, but you can already delete them simply by Right-Clicking the item and choosing "Remove Item" from the menu.

You seem to be asking about the Bookmarks menu in the main macOS menubar when Safari is open... which of course is different. First off, Reading List doesn't even appear in that menu (for me anyway). But I doubt you'll find anything that will do what you're asking.
