Has anyone else noticed (or been annoyed by) that when you open additional tabs, the Favorites bar goes away or hides? I hate this and can't find a way to change the behavior. I sent a feedback back report to Apple regarding the matter.

I'm using Safari Version 8.0 (10538.46)

I was getting this, I removed the safari plist and that seemed to take care of it.

Go to your user Library, Preferences and move com.apple.safari.plist to desktop. If it works just delete the plist file, if not, you can move it back.

Thanks, I'll give this a try when I boot Yosemite next. About to do a hardware upgrade for wireless/BT

"open additional tabs" as in have more then one open? That's not happening for me either.

I didn't get the issue on the clean install I did with DP1 but I did when I upgraded a separate partition to Yosemite Public Beta from Mavs. So must be plist bug.

edit - Looks like it's not the plist, I'm still getting it. I'll try some more stuff and report back.

I've not run into the problem. But it is a beta version, so if it is a problem with the app and not your particular setup, I'm sure it'll get fixed before final release.
