So Calif
After updating to 11.4, my M1 Mini now hangs with Safari browser.

It will not load Safari, beach balls spin forever, can't even get to Safari preferences to clear history/cache/cookies...
The only way to close it is force quit app.

Anyone know how to get Safari to stop hanging ?

Crash message each time I try force close Safari:

Before 11.4, Safari worked perfectly!

Remove any browser extensions/adblocker and retry. If that doesn't help, do a reinstall of MacOS from recovery.

This has happened to me both on 11.3 and also 11.4. I've tried deleting my cache files, Safari .plist files, as well as any related user files, but didn't fix. I created a "Test User" account to see if it was system wide, and it was. In the end (As what Duke21515 said) I just restarted and all started working again. I've reported the issue several times to Apple. Hopefully this will get resolved in a future update.
