Safari hesitation on page back?

I have the latest Safari/MacOS. A minor annoyance with Safari is that when I do a 'page back' either with the back arrow, or with a gesture, Safari 'freezes' for a few seconds. I've seen some other (old) threads that blame this on the page being reloaded, or with extensions. The only extension I have is 1Password.

Anyone else experiencing this? Is it something I can 'fix'?
