Hi,

Is there the possibility to turn off the info box that always comes up when you enable private mode in Safari?

Thanks and best wishes
Chris

you can't.

another crap move by apple like there are many on ios 13.

it really sucks. showing it once you go into private mode should be enough.

Please can you share a screenshot... I’m not on iOS 13 yet.
There you go:

I really hope that we get an option to dismiss this info in a coming update since the box is very obtrusive.

Silly question but what is the box stopping you from doing?

It's just annoying in my opinion to have this box displayed every time I enter private mode. So I think Apple should add an "x" to just dismiss it for users who know what this mode is for.

Agreed, it just gets in the way and messes up my muscle memory for clicking bookmarks.

it prevents me from seeing more of my favorites.

ios 13 is an os update which introduces more steps for things who worked out pretty fine without any additional steps, clicks, and scrolls... sucks if you ask me. reminds me a bit of windows back in 2000.

Bear in mind that you used to differentiate between private / non-private based on the colour of the Safari banner. Now that we have dark mode they need some other way of differentiating.

I am sure it will get smaller in future iterations of the software, as people get used to the new way of doing things.
