iPad Pro Safari icons

Updated to iOS 18.0.1. Nice to see the increase of icons shown on the Safari screen. 96 by my count.

But it is not consistent showing the actual thumbnail. One time this morning no icon had an image. Just the gray square with a letter/number. Right now it is about 50%.

What gives with the missing thumbnails?
