Safari input box question

Hi,

I just want to ask if there is a way to keep the input box selected in safari after it refreshes. There is a site that i am using that when i chose the input box the web page refreshes to get some data. If i view this site using my ipod touch, i will not be able to input anything because the virtual keyboard always exit whenever the web page refreshes

Have you tried stopping safari's loading once you enter the input box? Or is it required that this data loading is done (like in a list box), I assume it's probably some kind of refreshing of cities list given a state or something...?

If totally required then I'd see if (and not likely, only a few amount of them do) the request is done via GET (on a desktop browser) then adding that as a bookmark and using safari mobile to go to that bookmark, changing input values.

What website is this? Reloading when the input box is up seems a little peculiar to me.

thanks, it is an online stock trading site. let's say there are three input box that asks for the stock symbol, the volume and the price. what happens is after the symbol is inserted on the first one and you click on the volume box, the site refreshes to get the current details regarding that stock.
i think what is happening here is after refreshing, the "I bar"(using PC browser) is set as default in the volume box that is why i was able to input some text
i believe there are some sites like login screen that when you viewed them from a PC browser are like these from which once the screen loads, the I bar is already at one of the box. Apparently, safari browser on the ipod touch doesnt behave this way because you have to click the input box to insert some text. is there a way to let it behave like PC browser?
I hope i am not that confusing.
