Hi, for the first time, I'm asking help on the behalf of someone else. Let me know if that's OK. My sister made the jump from a Samsung Tab S to an iPad Air 2020 10.9 in. Not easy for her to adapt to iPad OS. Her biggest problem now is Safari. She started Private browsing (see attachment) and could not end it. I Googled her problem for 2 hours and could end Private browsing by tapping the screen to make the status bar reappear. But once PB was off, it turned back on after she made a new search. Had to repeat the process each time to get out of this mode. I never used Private browsing. I have an Air 2 with iOS 14 or iPad OS, dunno. Since her 2020 iPad is way more powerful, there are some commands I think I do not have. What is the solution to her Safari problem? A bug? Already a reinstall? Calling Apple helpline? Thanks for the cues. I so don't want she hates her Air 2020 and send it back to buy a "I don't know what" Android tablet.
Thanks.

The screenshot is showing that you are not currently in private browsing mode, so there's no further action required. Simply tap OK and continue browsing normally.

If you were in private browsing mode, the word "Private" would be enclosed in a white rectangle, and tapping it would end private browsing.

Yes, as above. This is not in private mode. If you were in private mode, the word private would be selected.

Hi you all. Thanks many times for your answers. It helped us very much. My sister go there without knowing how she got there and I told her to hit the brakes for the moment. Seems people coming from Android do the same thing all the time: tap here and there like they do on their Android device reassured by the fact there is always a back button or arrow that will save the day. Actually, a back button is the first thing my sister searched desperately.;););)
