I am having issues with safari 9.1.2

YouTube video are not loading properly, Yahoo groups are causing issues when I try to click links as nothing happens.

All cache have been cleared, history cleared, latest Adobe Player installed, no extensions installed.

As a last resort, I am thinking of formatting and reinstalling unless anyone can suggest something else for me to try. I followed some instructions on resetting Safari but it did not help.

Can Safari be trashed and reinstalled without the big format ?

Logging into the Guest account seems to to work perfect, all previous issues are not present.

Is there an easy way to create a new account and transfer all installed apps or would I need to reinstall them again

Are you saying that your apps are in a folder in the User Account? (hard_drive/Users/YourName)

If they are in Hard_drive/Applications then there is not an issue with applications. You will need to transfer files however.

Gregg2 is correct...if an app is in your User Account's Application folder then you'll have to reinstall it if you switch to a new User Account.

Perhaps someone will recognize the issue you're having with Safari and have an idea how to fix your current account. That would be ideal. Otherwise, there are instructions out on the interwebs on how to move your stuff to a new one. When searching, be sure to use El Capitan as a reference.
