Safari issue

I haven't touched my computer in a couple days (live alone) and came back to it and now if I try to do anything in Safari I get the error sound. Also preferences and clear cache are greyed out. I also don't see the cache folder in the library. I can't quit it unless I force quit. I shift clicked it to start it but still nothing. I put my computer in safe mode, but it was running extremely slow and if I touched safari my screen goes white for a second. I would assume this is a virus? This is my first mac all I have downloaded was Geekbench, cinebench, NIK collection for photoshop, and intel power gadget.

Even tried to reinstall MacOS
