I have two questions about my iBook G4.

1) How do I set shortcuts in Safari, specifically setting F5 for refresh.

2) When I use Apple-F to search through a webpage, the highlight is so dull it is hard to see where the word I am searching for is. How can I make this color more bold so that I can see it more easily?

Thanks.

I have no idea how to do (2). To do (1), go to System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts and click on the (+) below the big box of shortcuts. Select Safari from the list, Type in the name of the Refresh command (I think it's "Refresh" right?) for Safari in the second box, and define your shortcut in the third box.

1. Command-R is the refresh key combination. If that's too much for you, there are probably third-party programs that can assign hotkeys like this (they're not directly configurable in Safari), but I'm not familiar with any of them.

2. Go to System Preferences --> Appearance --> Highlight Color and choose a better color for your needs.

Edit: D'oh! Thanks mkrishnan for the reminder about Keyboard Shortcuts...I'm so dumb.

thanks, but when i change the highlight color, it only changes it when I highlight things, not when I use the search feature of Safari. I was wondering if anyone can change this?
