To my eyes, ProMotion is not working in Safari on the new M1 Pro MBP—scrolling appears locked to 60Hz.
Looks fine in Finder, Messages, etc.
What gives?

I am now. The latest 12.1 Beta (3) (21C5039b) seems to have 120Hz on Safari scrolling. It is definitely smoother. I usually run on a 60Hz screen when I work so I can definitely tell the difference when I am on the laptop screen now.Has anyone tested the new Monterey beta to see if Safari is still locked at 60Hz?
What about Blur Buster's UFO test? Is it still locked at 60Hz in Safari? Chrome can show more than 60Hz.I am now. The latest 12.1 Beta (3) (21C5039b) seems to have 120Hz on Safari scrolling. Let's hope it will get released with macOS 12.1 . It's not included in Beta 3 yet.You need to download the newest Safari Technology Preview to get 120Hz scrolling working.
I just downloaded this and it does not look like 120hz to me.Let's hope it will get released with macOS 12.1 . It's not included in Beta 3 yet.

There is a setting after you enable developer options: Something like prefer page rendered at 60Hz, untick that then you will be able to get 120hz on Safari.
