Safari & Mail -no display of jpgs. Safari doesn't load https sites

Has anyone encountered an issue where Safari and Mail stop displaying jpgs and https sites won't load? Everything works normally in Chrome. In latest El Capitan. Switched to Fios recently. Thanks.
