I just discovered, that if you hit CMD + N to create a new window in Safari, if you hit the spacebar immediately you will get a new window with two tabs. (I'm not sure if this is a feature of Safari itself or some of the extensions I have installed). It seems relatively useless to me, but I just thought I'd share!

Doesn't work for me. I just get a new window with a lot of white space in the address bar!

Works for me, don't let up the command key though, if I do that it won't work, though like michaelrjohnson said I have no idea what use, or benefit this would be. No add ins by the way
Safari 2.0.1

My default for spotlight is control+space, not command+space, maybe that's why I get the new tab and not spotlight

Bizarre, I wanted to see how many extra tabs I could get, so I just kept pressing the space button, got 5 tabs open with one command+n, but now it won't do it at all. I'm like the rest of you guys now. Wonder what happened

That's neat. I noticed that if I press Command+W and then tap the spacebar really quickly, I can get the windows to do a little pixel dance before they fade away. So cool!

Yeah, I forgot to mention I changed the default Spotlight commands.

Either way, this is a bizarre and seemingly useless feature. :)

Thanks for playing!

Bah, not gonna change Spotlight and Language prefs for this... cool trick but not needed.

<---goes to try it
