This has actually been an issue for a long time now. Started happening right after I jailbroke, which was way back in the summer. I'm running 3.0 PurpleRa1n JB on a launch day 3GS. Basically since I did it (as soon as PurpleRa1n's 2nd release came out, the one that was more stable and fixed WinterBoard issues) Safari no longer "syncs" with the YouTube app. Like if you go to the YouTube website and click a video it always opened the YouTube app and played the video in that. Since the JB I go to the YouTube site and the video area is just the "play" arrow with the "no" symbol (circle with slash) over it, and I can't click anything. It's highly annoying since if I follow a YouTube link from a Forum or an email I have to copy the video title then go manually open YouTube app and search the title. It's bothered me for awhile and I just always forget to cone make a thread about it (or am too lazy to lol).

Any suggestions?

I initially thought that when it first started but it's every video. The YouTube main page and anything I search, no matter what it's all just that crossed out arrow. Not even an image of the video either, just a plain backround.

It's happened with videos my friend has emailed from the YouTube app in his iPhone too, so I know they work on iPhone, and they always work if I go into the actual app manually to play them. I just can't click anything on the website and have it launch the app (or play at all).

I don't know how to upload a phone screenshot to this forum to show an example of what I mean

Have you got the YouTube app hidden with SbSettings or poof? As this can cause your described problem.

I've got it in a folder via Categories, but I'm almost positive this was happening before that because I didn't start using Categories until I had already been jailbroken for a few months.

I can't restore and re-JB as I'm running 3.0 FW and missed the opportunity to "make my life easier" in Cydia. I hadn't used Cydia in awhile and by the time I opened it the "make my life easier" was now for FW 3.1, which I don't have so I never clicked.

Taking YouTube app out of a folder solved the same issue for me. :)

Me too, lol. Damn, I coulda sworn it was doing it before I messed with categories, guess not. It WAS a long time ago though. Well crap, I had a nice theme going too, and the YouTube app being out of categories completely messes with that. I might just have to deal with it like I have been, but at least I know what the issue is now lol, thanks guys.
