safari not working properly anymore

Usually in safari the top bar is at the same time for searching and entering a website-address. However, since today 1) I can't use the searching function and 2) if I am already on a website and tip on the bar (usually then you can enter something new) two sentences overlie and I can't do anything.

Strangely, since today I cannot use safari on my iPhone either. When I open it and touch the bar in order to enter an address, safari just closes.

Sometime the search bar won't show up when I search. It is moderately annoying.
