Throughout the betas, Safari has crashed on certain betas, and then gets fixed, only to start crashing on the next beta. 11.0.1 is a crashing beta. Most times crashes when I click in the address bar. I've moved over to Brave, which has not crashed, and works well. I am wondering if the Safari problem is Adguard.

Mine initially crashed on YouTube, and Amazon’s website. I did another re-boot after the install, and it seems to be working now on both those sites. I feel like I’m a character from the IT Crowd....

Installed 11.0.1 yesterday. This is the first day since Beta 7, I believe, that I have not crashed running Safari. I don't run an ad blocker.

It’s crashing for me nearly every time I use the address bar as well.

I use 1Blocker but no adguard.

This 11.0.1 beta on Safari is slow, running a tab with Twitter (shows as mobile.twitter.com ) seems to be 70% cpu and caught in a race or other condition.

Haven't tried without AdGuard Pro, cannot stand using web without. I did try white listing a couple sites.

Twitter now has adds, install this and that, and promoted tweets. Yuck. So first time I've felt like I need to use a different browser - I avoided Big Sur beta until two weeks ago.

Apple lists Safari crashes as a known issue, and there is a workaround.

There is an issue in macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 beta, where Safari may crash when launching to or opening a new tab with the Start page. As a workaround, please change your Safari preferences to ensure Safari and new tabs open to an empty page.
To do this, you can launch Safari by clicking any link in the system, such as this one for apple.com. Then open Safari Preferences and change "New windows open with" and "New tabs open with" to "Empty Page" from the General tab.

Contrary to the bug report in Feedback Assistant, this is happening for me with a blank page or tab set as my start page.. crashes when clicking in the address bar to start typing.. solution for me is to use Safari Technology Preview, which at least for the moment, seems not to have this issue.

Ok, I am back on Catalina. Safari crashes, Brave kept on hanging up on streaming (Annoying when I was watching Ohio State game). Moved to my iPad and all was fine. All is fine on Catalina. Seems like still a possible network issue. Messing up the Buckeye game was a bridge to far!

It crashes for me with blank pages also.

Nope - Crashed again this AM.

So much for that theory then!

I'm about ready to go to Firefox, but setting everything up would be a major undertaking 👎

Did not notice any issues as of yet. Quite the opposite actually, I'm pleased with how smooth and stable it is.
