I'm having all kinds of issues in Safari in iOS 9. Pages crashing the browser, slow response, brutal delays and zoom issues.

My iPad is an Air 1st gen. Had all kinds of lag and crashes since updating. (On the iPad now using 9.01 - this is a bit of a test right now)

On my iPhone 6+ I just spent 10 minutes completing a web form and now the left half of the web page is zoomed off the screen and won't come back.

What exactly does 9.01 address with Safari? How does sucha glaring problem get through?

By the looks of things the Watch OS2 update has tons of problems executing. Mine took a ton of tries yesterday and my Wife spent all day trying to get hers updated. I don't expect such shoddy results from Apple.

Haha. I've never heard these issues before.

Man. iOS 9 is such a disappointment.

I suggest downgrading to 8.4.1 or upgrading to iOS 9.1 beta (as you are susceptible to more updates) if it really irks you. Or you can just hang tight.

I also experienced several other issues with Safari (such as page crashes and scrolling lag, etc.) when I had 9.0.

After spending a few hours now with the update on my Mini 3, all my 9.0 issues are still issues on 9.0.1
This is starting to feel like the 8.x saga all over again. I hope its not.

On the Zoom issue; tried to do an online email complaint for the USPS and it cut off the bottom of the form - looks to have zoomed out the form footer. Checked it on my wife's Mini 2 (8.4.1) it was fine. Safari is having some strange issues with 9.

Seeing Safari hang every so often - so multiple times a day on 6s Plus. Force quitting from multitasking view Safari, and reopening seems to be a workaround - but a pain.
Anyone met it?
Is there a way to check error logs around when the hang/ freezing occues

Safari hangs once in a while for me too, and I have to force-close the app to fix it. Trouble is, this has been happening since iOS6 for me and on several different iPhones.

You can look in Diagnostic&Usage (it's under Privacy at the bottom) however I am not always seeing an entry for fails/crashes/etc...

No issues here. Safari has been an absolute Rock of Gibraltar for me on iOS 9. iPad Air 2 and 6+.

iOS 8 was an absolute horror running Safari. They may as well have made page reloads and crashes on iOS 8 features.

It's a little early for that assessment. We don't yet know how he updated and he's on an older version of 9. What he is experiencing is not the norm and it will get figured out one way or another. I slapped 9 on my kid's iPad but I don't remember what they have. :) I'll check to see if it's the same. Probably older...

Focusing on your iPad, restore it as new with 9.1, don't put any apps on it, and see if the Safari problems continue. If not, slap your restore on it and see if the problems return. If so you have your answer. If not then there are next steps... Good luck! I'm going to check to see what my oldest iPad on iOS9 is.

This is exactly my experience.

Op, safari on iOS 9 is far and away better than iOS 8. Some good suggestions were made above.
