Anyone else see this? I was hoping they'd fix in 9.2 but it isn't fixed. iPhone 6. On iOS 9.1 and 9.2, I always open a new link when i'm browsing with "open in background" so I can keep reading what i'm reading and have those other articles open for reading next. But the little icon flies up to the left (instead of down like it did pre-ios-9.1 or so, AND Safari hangs up completely. I can no longer scroll on the page i'm on, can't touch the safari icons at the bottom, can't switch pages. All I can do is force-quit from the app switcher.

Worked and still works fine on iPhone 6 with iOS 9.2 and earlier. Perhaps it's some sort of a Safari issue? Have you tried clearing data/cache for it? Perhaps resetting some settings if that doesn't work?

I have also a problem with Safari and open in background feature. Basically, my iPhone 6S either wants to do 3d touch peek or nothing happens, I tried to adjusting 3d touch settings etc and nothing worked. It was working just fine in 9.1, but something in 9.2 killed it for me.
