I'm having a fairly weird issue with my iPad Air (M1) since updating to the 18.1 beta. Somewhat randomly when using Safari the processor starts to heat up to the point where the iPad is warm to the touch, battery starts rapidly draining and it will not stop until I quit Safari. I've noticed it more on sites that use location and live updating websites (Sofascore seems to do it a lot).
I've tried resetting the cache and history multiple times, hard restarting the iPad, turning off Apple Intelligence and using a different browser (Chrome, still does it). I'm really not sure what is causing this issue but it seems to be confined to web browsing only. It's not doing it in games and streaming Plex so I don't believe it to be a processor issue. Hoping for some suggestions besides reinstalling the entire OS as it's absolutely cooking the iPad which can't be good longterm.

Does Safari have extension or content blocker?

Finally figured out what this was from process of elimination. I had recently switched to AdGuard and for some reason using the DNS feature was doing it. Since turning that off it stopped. I’m now using the native dns and it’s also fine.
