Does anybody have issues with Safari performance? If I check my browser history from dropdown menu, section that displays last six days I get beachball spinning while favicons are generating and my whole browser freezes. It happened before update and is still happening.

Sometimes videos are stuttering in YouTube but not while in mini player or full screen just on default and theater mode. I have noticed that scrolling on YouTube is stuttering but not on all places, only on the page where the video is playing. Instagram feed scrolls normally but not an search section with a grid. Reddit scrolling is also bad, always was but now its worse.

I have tried restarting Mac, Safari and visites mentioned websites without extensions but nothing have worked. Anybody else?

For my it is creating new tabs. Several times per day when creating a new tab Safari will freeze and beach ball for 5 seconds or so before creating the new tab. Been happening since the update, and still happening on 11.1.

Tried the basics of deleting caches and support files but the behavior remains.

No I have not found a fix yet. You described it perfectly!! The rainbow colored beach ball or the blue spinning ball as well. Ditto! Have to force quit as well. Thank you for the reminder and I am going to call Apple Support and get this on the record too. It is just about a year old and need this to be rectified and reported. Good luck and keep us posted please

All problem went away with subsequent updates except beach ball in history, even after clean install. Beach ball lasts few second only but happens every time.

UPDATE: After using my Mac few days after new install it seems that spinning beachball is barely appearing. Safari is working like it always did. So possible clue for anyone that have issues still with bookmarks/history beachball is to maybe delete favicon cache.

Not sure it will work, it is just a thought.
