2015 Macbook Pro 16gb ram, I never used an adblocker before but I was tired of how much the website loading slowed because of ads so I added Adblock to safari and the results were great but increasingly the memory pressure got worse and worse, are there any tips to minimize this?

It seems like even if you close tabs, while you will get a decrease in memory, soon a new higher baseline is established that will build higher and higher upon which you are forced to restart the computer as you see the memory up to 13gb's.

Is your memory pressure still green or is it turning yellow or red and the computer is slowing down? OS X has a very predictable and responsive memory management and it is usually sufficient to just quit the application to clear the RAM quickly. In the case of Safari, you can just close windows or tabs to free up some memory. Web browsers use a lot of RAM, because rendering websites is a very RAM-intensive use case. Safari will try to keep websites in memory when it can, as such it will always use a lot of RAM if many tabs are open. This should not affect your system performance, because Safari does reduce its memory footprint automatically when the system tells it to.

It has stayed green, I have not noticed any significant computer performance slowdown but a few times I have gotten the message that the computer has run out of memory and I must force quit all open applications.

I’ve never seen this message. Are you sure that it comes from the system?

A green memory pressure is absolutely normal. I would only focus on that and not be too concerned about individual applications, especially not browsers. It becomes a problem when the system reaches a yellow or red memory pressure frequently. It also helps to reboot the system every now and then.

I'm not wording the warning exactly, yes it definitely comes from the system. And in the instances where I had to restart the computer it probably was not restarted in over one month, at least three weeks.
