I just updated my iPhone 6s to iOS 13. Now in Safari I am no longer able to search for text in a open webpage using the URL bar. Based on my research the common method to search is not available to iPhone 6s’. I’d appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

Strange, it's still there using iPhone 7 (if you scroll all the way down from the address/search bar drop-down when you enter something), which would make it seem like it should similarly be there on iPhone 6s as well.

Thanks for letting me know. Since that is where it was before I first looked there multiple times. Thankfully, I tried again and it showed up this time. Whew!

The difference is...in iOS 13, it only shows up at the bottom of the list if the search term is actually found on the page.

You should also be able to use the Share Sheet > Find on Page
Thanks. I had to Google to find where those actions were hiding in Share Sheet. It’s sad that iOS can’t give any directions to where features are located. I feel that Apple is slowly turning iOS into Android: very unintuitive. They put things in places with absolutely no way to know they are there. When Files was added it took a random swipe to discover how to add folders in Files. There was no way to give even the slightest hint to “pull” down on the screen to reveal that feature? So sad. Now I’m finding that basic features like the action to create a PDF isn’t available in Share Sheet for my phone as you can see from the screenshots below.

I’m quite surprised that Apple would remove as basic a feature from this section of the OS. It feels like Apple is purposefully making things difficult for people with older phones. Back in the day Apple products lasting 8 years. To see their longevity decrease is very sad.

Oh. Ok that makes more sense now. Thanks.

I've noticed that if I "swipe" the search term in the URL bar, it usually doesn't show any results. If I type each letter normally, the results show up. I think it's a stupid distinction, but there you are.

Yeah, I feel that iOS is beginning to feel the pain of having too many features. It’s much better to be really good at a few things instead of trying to be everything to everyone.

I completely agree. While it’s impossible to know how for sure how Jobs would have handled this I feel like he would have reigned in some of these interface choices. Starting with the 5c I feel like Apple has suffered from following customer demand as opposed to leading the market where Apple knows it should go. Under Jobs Apple was brilliant at executing that approach, while since his passing it has been glaringly incapable.
