In Mavericks and Yosemite, you could use the search bar to find something on a webpage. In El Capitan, it seems that is missing. You can still Command + F to pull up the Find bar, but I'm use to the Command + L shortcut to start typing in the search bar and then at the bottom it would say "X results on page".

Has anyone found a way to reenable the old method? I've already checked all the search settings in Safari and did some searching around here, but haven't found anyone that has mentioned it.

Still not in the latest beta of El Capitan? I really used this too in yosemite and miss it dearly.

Lets hope Apple brings it back for us.

I too found this missing. You can go to menu Edit and select find. Not quiet as easy
