when you open a webpage with safari, the address bar would act like those progress bars you always see.

however, nearly half of the time the bar would "load" and grow from left to the right, but it might hang in the middle, 1/4 of the way, or at http:// only.

it's irritating. i find safari quite nice and after using: http://www.scifience.net/safarispeed.html, it's even better.

anothe program that i used on my safari is this: http://www.ocdev.com/ where it won't close and pop up a dialog asking if i want to quit safari with multiple tabs. i always accidentally press cmd Q instead of cmd W so it's a work and life saver for me.

are these two programs related to my problem? or is it tiger? or is it my ibook?

i find firefox to load the pages just a little tad, like 0.01 seconds faster than Safari. so safari is fast for my needs. however, it's the inconsistancy that annoys me.

sometimes it loads as fast as firefox as it should, and sometimes i would load halfway and just stop there with a blank. my internet connection is fine, and safari is not.

also, my adblock-builtin safari won't prevent www.killsometime.com 's adds from popping up.
