One of my friends recently bought an eMac. He was having some problems with it so he asked me to show him a few things. (The last time he used a Mac was, like, 10 or 15 years ago.)

I managed to help him but there's was one remaining problem and, to be honest, I'm stumped. When he goes to the .Mac website, Safari unexpectedly quits. Not once. Not a few times. Every time. I tried re-installing Safari but no dice.

When he used Internet Explorer, he got some kind of authentication error saying something about no proxy found.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Squire
