Hi all

I've got a virus which seems to be embedded in Safari, it randomly loads adverts in new browsers when I'm navigating to different sites.

Any tips on how to get rid? I've run a 'MacScan' which has come back as clear, (it's the old 2.2 version though).

I'm running Sierra 10.12.5

Apologies if this is the wrong section to be asking this.

You might want to install AdBlock Plus as well. Most experienced Mac users will say that you should not install an antivirus app. You don't have a true virus. You have unwanted ads, which is not a virus.
