For the second time now I've encountered a situation where my safari pages fail to render and just look like a white screen. The page is there because I can actually click on links, but it simply doesn't show.
If i click refresh the page seems to refresh, but it still doesn't show, however if I close the tab and reopen, all is fine.
Ipad 9.7" pro, iOS 10

Anyone else experiencing the same?

Just a thought, could it be that the ad blocker is not fully compatible with ios10?
I am using Silentium.

Quite possible. I was going to ask if a content blocker is involved. You can try tapping and holding on the reload button/icon on top right in the address/search bar and then selecting the option to reload the page without content blockers to see if that makes a difference. (Also, it seems like Selentium is no longer really being maintained, per the developer.)

I think I encountered the same issue, but maybe not. The page loads for decades and then just goes all white. If I open another tab, its also all white. Only solution is to close Safari and try again.

Also have had this today - this morning on 6s plus and this afternoon on 7 plus, no content blockers installed - hopefully an update will be out soon for these small issues!
