Safari won't download anything Help “resolved.”

Just received my MBP M1 set it all up and trying to download off the internet using Safari and it won't do it. Any ideas? I have been searching the internet and have found nothing. apps, videos, nothing will download.

It starts and immediately stops. Under downloads I click the restart button and it just starts then stops. I checked my internet it's fine.

Have you tried another browser, Chrome should work for you... ?

I am so sorry for taking up anyones time reading this. It was my preferences that was messed up. Under websites then downloads it was set to deny. I have no idea why. Sorry for freaking out. My first instinct was it the new M1 chip... Amazing computer and chip the person operating it not so amazing with this new computer.

Sounds like a security setting or permission problem.

Good thing you figured it out. I hope you enjoy your new toy. Make sure and edit the thread title to say “resolved.” That way, others will know all is fine now.
