I'm using 10.15.3 (19D76) on a 16" MBP, earlier today Safari stopped responding and after force quitting won't open back up. I'm guessing it's something to do with the Adblocker extension. I installed a new version of the OS and it's still happening but once I created a second user I was able to open safari under that account.

Does anybody have a way that I could disable Adblocker without being able to access Preferences under Safari since I can't get it to open long enough?

Thanks for the help

Have you tried starting in safe mode and then disabling the ad blocker?

Yeah, tried Safe Mode too and when I try to open Safari, I get as far as the beach ball spinning then it giving a long message/code about it not opening.

Even on this other account Safari is starting to run sluggish and there's no ad block set, super confusing

OP:
Something to try (no promises):

- Go to your preferences folder in your account home folder
- Locate the files "com.apple.safari.xxxx". (there will be more than one)
- Move all these files into the trash, but DO NOT EMPTY the trash yet.
- Now, reboot and get back to finder
- NOW empty the trash
- See if Safari will restart for you now. Does it...?

(all the pref files you deleted should be rebuilt automatically if Safari now runs again...)
