Is it just me or does safari crash quite a bit? iPod touch 4g

I just searched "Safari Crashing on iPad 1 iOS 5" using Safari, and it crashed twice...

There's definitely a HUGE problem that's device-wide for the iPad 1 (sometimes the ipad 2) and iTouch 4G. It definitely isn't using the memory properly on tho devices as I'm not getting any rashes with safari only iPhone 4. I now have to use Terra Browser which is not crashing at all, yet I don't have the benefit of Reader now.

I have iPad1 - and while the device is noticeably laggy since installing 5 - I can't say I've experienced any crashes. I've even tested watching embedded youtube videos, and loading large graphic intensive pages.

Hopefully 5.1 addresses some battery and performance issues.

iPad 1 here. Runs better on iOS 5. Couldn't be happier with Safari. Very snappy. I did do a restore after the iOS5 installation though. Not sure why some people experience problems and other do not.

Regards,

Dave

i get a lot of Safari crashes... some of the errors seen in the crash data reports:

also getting alot of Low Memory reports.... glad they are auto sent to Apple

Running iOS 5 on my iPad 1 and runs like a dream. Much smoother than iOS 4 IMO. only app to have crashed on me is the Twitter app on a couple of occasions.

The OS runs smoother, except for safari crashing, notification centre dropping abruptly in the first time, and the spotlight animation jittering

Also getting crashes on iPad 1 - in the middle of reading something vitally important (like Failblog ) and suddenly I'm back on the home screen. Yikes.

Weird back button problem...

Running ios5 on iPad 1-wifi & mostly pleased with overall performance.
But...
Occasionally, when I hit the back button, BBC News for example, it will present a page from cache that is a couple hours or a day old. I tap the page refresh and is back to normal. This problem is repeating but not consistently enough to sort out the problem...:(

Anyone else experiencing this?

Cheers,
Mike
