I don't have this problem with Firefox... I have around 20 tabs open, and Safari uses up around 160MB of RAM and 50% CPU! I know I have a low amount of memory, but this is ridiculous. Is Safari really that inefficient?

20 Tabs??

Yup, safari is a memory hog (read: has a memory leak). The same effect can be achieved if you use it for a long enough time without restarting no matter how many tabs you have open

I'm noticing this as well. I wonder how long the leak will stay in Safari. Its quite a silly thing to have in such a heavily used piece of software.
