Frequently, on different websites when I go to login, after placing the cursor in the User ID/username field and begin typing, I don't see the auto-complete list of suggested IDs below the field.

Instead, it appears in the upper left corner of the window (screen shot below) or even the top center.

At first, this was only on my work laptop over the past few years (a 4 y/o MBP which is now running Monterey 12.2.1 and latest Safari updates).

Now, I've noticed it on my brand new personal MBP 14" (also current on OS 12.2 and Safari).

What would cause this, and is there a fix?

Current Monterey would be version 12.3
Maybe that would make a difference.

Is that odd placement for the Login completion only in Safari? Or does it also happen in other browsers for you?

Well, it's been happening for a few years so I don't think it's a point-upgrade issue w/Monterey.
Thanks for the heads-up on the update; should've auto-updated.
