Resolved Safe to remove battery?

My iPhone 4 isn't working, I resprung and it's stuck on the screen with the loading symbol after the Apple logo comes up...and it wasn't fixed by plugging it in. This happened after downloading a tweak from Cydia and respringing. Anyway, I have the tools to take out the screws in the bottom, I was wondering if I took out the battery and put it back in, if it may help, or if it's even safe to do so, I don't want to mess up my phone. Or should I just wait for the battery to die? I don't know if they will help me at the Apple store since I have a jailbroken iPhone (ofcourse they can't tell by looking at it now) Has anyone else had this problem before?

Hold down the sleep and home buttons for about 10 secs. This should force a reboot.
Worst case, put it into DFU mode and restore the OS.

FYI - A respring is not a reboot. It is just a restart of the GUI layer. The core OS remains running.

Nevermind, it finally worked. I don't know why I didn't think about doing this. Thank you for your help!

I've seen a reboots take a long time after a forced shutdown. I assume it runs an more exhaustive maintenance routine before start up. Glad to help!
