Safe to turn on iCloud Drive? Will iCloud documents just show up?

Just installed Yosemite, wondered if anyone had been bold enough to turn on iCloud Drive, and if so, did all your iCloud documents just show up as normal?

Heh, funny you mention this, I took the leap and just did it, I was operating along the same lines of you, didn't want to give it a go.

All my docs showed up, my iWork docs moved from my macbook to the cloud though, which was a surprise.

I took the plunge on my Yosemite Mac, and then on my iPhone, so far so good. /Whew. iCloud Drive had a rocky beta period, so I was worried, luckily it was fine. Case closed (for me anyway, hopefully the roll out is smooth for everyone).
