I am interested in the 'Message in iCloud' feature to synchronize all my Messages between my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Currently, the feature is disabled on all the devices (the recent software updates have not automatically enabled it).
My question is, what would be the recommended order of operations? If helps, I would primarily like my iPhone Messages to be synchronized to my other devices. So if I enable 'Messages in iCloud' on my iPhone, and then enable on my iPad, what happens? Will the iPad delete it's local messages and then just synchronize with what is in iCloud? Or will it do something stupid like 'merge' it's local messages with what is in iCloud? Or will it ask what to do?
