Sales Reports?

Anyone have any info on how many of these new Macbook Airs Apple is selling? Curious if the reception is better than Apple expected, esp. with the mostly very good reviews, the new 11.6, and the lower starting price. Have the 13" decked out myself (yes, it's a fantastic machine).

Even an anecdotal conversation with some Apple store staff would be an interesting read.

We sold our first one today in store. We're a reseller though, however, we haven't seen a ton of traffic interested in it.

Apple doesn't release individual sales numbers for laptops. Suffice it to say that with their TV ad campaign, they expect to move a boatload of these this quarter.

I'm guessing with the new $1000 price point they'll sell a bunch of these over the holidays. The MacBook Air is now a mainstream product. Having owned one since the original came out (and upgrading to the SSD version 2 years ago), I'm happy about the new models, but in a way will miss the exclusivity. I never saw very many of them in airport lounges, etc. I'm guessing we'll see them crop up everywhere now.

I wonder if these are going to fly off the shelves as Christmas approaches. I could see all the Airs being popular with college students and people who travel. Would be a fantastic present.
