same compass as the iphone 3gs?

well i read that the ipad will have a Digital compass. i also read that the iphone 3gs had a magnetic compass. is this right? also does the Digital compass have the same problems as the magnetic cause when in the car my iphone says im looking side ways when im pointing it strait =/.

It's v likely it'll have a compass Feature (either app or feature within maps) but that doesn't necessarily mean they won't update the hardware that does it. I didn't know wiki had a list of upcoming chips being used for the iPad - whilst some have been rumored - have you got a link to one saying it'll be the same version chip as the iPhone currently?
