I have a 2023 M2 Pro MacBook Pro.

It is used at 2 locations:-
1. My Home office
2. My Man Cave/Garage

Both locations have external monitors (same brand):-
ASUS PA279CRV

Location 1 the screen is to the right of the MBP
Location 2 the screen is to the left of the MBP

Now here is my problem. my MBP doesn't differentiate between displays, it seems to think they are the same display.

So if I configure location 1 and plug into location 2 the display settings are the same as location 1.

Is there a fix for this as it is driving me crazy, I will doc into either locations daily.

Other than replacing one display with a different brand or model I don't know what my options are.

Thanks

I wonder if macOS would differentiate if you plugged the monitors into different ports? Like 1 you plug in through USB-C/DisplayPort, and the other you plug in through HDMI?
