Samsung Ativ S

Is it just me, or is everyone forgetting about the Ativ S in the midst of the 8X and Lumia 920? Personally, I think it's a good option because it's the same width as the 920 (well, 0.01" narrower) but gives you more screen (although it is 1280x720 vs 1280x768). Obviously, I am yet to compare the three flagships in person, so maybe someone here can give an insight as to how it compares? It also has the biggest battery at 2300maH I believe.

It is strange how little information is coming out about this phone. I don't really understand why Samsung is letting Nokia and HTC get such a head start, unless they feel they can make up the difference because the phone is that good.

The phone doesn't really have anything on the 8X or 920...

And it's design is pretty incompatible with WP8 design language.

Awesome specs on this phone, blows away the 920/HTC, plus it's very thin and not chunky/heavy. If I decide to go winphone this would be my only choice. Samsung are being major slackers in releasing it or even giving any info on it though.

Exactly, they've all got almost exactly the same specs (Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz, etc.) so the changes really come down to screen size, hardware design and added software options.

Well Windows Phone devices don't have much to offer in terms of differentiation, so design is actually pretty important. The 8X looks better, especially for Windows Phone square, colored interface, has a better screen technology, and that's enough to beat the ATIV.

The Ativ is actually made of brushed aluminum unlike the S3. As for the screen, some people actually prefer the over saturation of Amoled screens. Another thing to consider is that the 8X doesn't have a SD card slot. That's a great thing about Samsung phones.

In the end, it depends on your needs. They are all worthy, but if I were to choose, it would be the Nokia due to the exclusive apps.

I like the Ativ S. It's not quite bold and "out there" as the HTC 8x/s or the Lumia's, so it might appeal to corporate people. Hope it comes out soon!

Damn, you're right. They called it 'brushed metal'. Samsung really likes to use plastic. But then again, they seem to be the only handset manufacturer with removable batteries and SD-card slots so I can't hold it against them

It's just plastic, but it's well done IMO. I'd prefer it over the Tonka toy look of the 920 and the HTC, that plastic is just horrid looking and looks like plastic a mile away. I try and respect others choices, but I'm just having a hard time seeing why people like them.
