Samsung develops portable digital TV technology

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Samsung Electronics Co. (005930.KS) said on Thursday it has developed a way to broadcast digital television signals to car screens and to devices such as DVD, game and music players, with an aim to creating a standard for portable digital television.

Hmm, very interesting. I would really like to see this work, but at the same time I don't think we need portable TV in the slightest.
I'm interested in it as more of a POC point of view than actually using it.

I guess we'll see at CES, but my read of the announcement was that this is more like a wireless VGA link for the last hop to the display than a broadcast which can be picked up by any DVB-H type device...
