Samsung evo 970 pro filevault issue

Recently upgraded iMac 2017 27" 5K pci-e ssd with Samsung eve 970 pro nvme2.
OS: running MacOS Catalina latest version.

It's working great; except I cannot activate filevault. Specifically after I press "turn on filevault" the "continue" button remains grey and unavailable, thus I'm stuck.

Anyone experience same problem?
