Just seen that S6 allows this. Now this is the main reason why I use nova to he honest

They now allow you to use 4 x 5 and 5 x 5 instead of just 4 x 4

Good job Samsung. Looking forward to note 5 already

Its banjaxed however.

Seriously its a bad implementation in its current form.

1. It physically scales content which gives icons a soft look and worse still it scales widgets. Making them look disproportionate and narrow. It breaks some widgets because of this scaling issue.

2. It doesn't affect App drawer meaning you go from one ratio to another when opening app drawer and it looks messy.

Comparing it to Nova is actually doing Nova a disservice. Indeed it seems to me Samsung have scaling issues on the launcher in general. Icons are too big naturally and too small when using 5x5. Its like they are messing with DPI settings and its fudged a little. Even in standard 4×4 layout widgets like Google Play Music in 4×1 layout are broken.

Switch to Nova or even Google Now launcher and they work perfectly, so its definitely a DPI scaler issue in the new TW launcher.
