Samsung Galaxy player 5.0"

I bought one of these quite some time ago.
It was running android 2.2 but official upgrade to 2.3.

This was samsung answer to the ipod.

I bought it used off ebay to replace my ipod 4th gen.
It works and the touch is bit better than the ipod 4th gen but worse than 5th gen.

Battery no where near as good as the ipod.
I use the ipod for streaming internet radio only now.

I use the samsung for quite a few of my games and stuff.

but the older OS makes web browsing more of a chore now.

Great device and I have a 16GB sd card in it with music and the camera is not too bad.
rear flash is good for low light vids too.

My ipod has not seen use for quite a while and I only found my samsung again last nite after looking for something else.

Looking it up, you can root and rom it. Pry would run way better with 5.0, looked it up on XDA and devs still play with it.

As what @SurferMan said, I'd definitely play around with it in terms of rooting and installing ROMs. It'd be a fun little device to have around.
