It was a good move to partner with SwiftKey. Their keyboard is top notch (corrections, swiping now with Flow, and the best prediction engine out there).

Samsung Galaxy S4 keyboard powered by SwiftKey

Personally, I was hopping for a Note 2 keyboard(with the numbers on top). I use a Note 2 keyboard on my GS3(custom rom) and I love it. Not having to long press or press any symbol key to get to the numbers keyboard is much more productive.

The Galaxy S4 *DOES* have a Note 2 style keyboard with the numbers on the top and the new addition of Swiftkey tech:

Your link doesn't actually show any images of the Galaxy S4 keyboard.

I personally think that SwiftKey is just way better than any other keyboard I have ever tried. Nothing else was even close. This would be one of the most important features on the phone since most people will compose some messages at times.

Yes. +100.

This is a big deal. Swiftkey is phenomenal.

It is. The only thing that sucks about it right now is with teh final version of flow, i have to go in everyday and select Flow as my defeault keyboard where i never used to have to before. That is annoyong because the Samsung keyboard is crap.
The reason it is crap is because the buttons are too small and swiping with it isnt near as accurate as Swiftkey. I dont see how you cope with the Apple keyboard your using now. The screen is so small and i HATED texting on my iPhone. If the Samsung keys are too small for me on my GS3, the Apple keyboard would drive me bonkers....and with no swipe? Forgetaboutit!

Swiftkey Flow is the absolute bomb but i have to tell the developers that i have to pick it as default everyday so they can fix it.

The iOS keyboard has improved dramatically. I don't know what it is but it's far more responsive than it ever was on the iPhone 4S. Maybe the faster processor is helping the device register taps better. I also have always said that I prefer iOS' editing tools over android's. and I still do. Something about the cursor always seems to land in the right place. Also the magnifying glass really helps.

Having said that, you're absolutely right about everything else. The keyboard is cramped, everything feels extremely manual (getting to symbols is so painfully slow), the lack of control over my dictionary sucks, and the keyboard begs for swiping abilities.

For now the keyboard is tolerable. I do miss swiftkey.

Switching to symbols is slower, but do you know that you can tap and hold on the numbers/symbols keyboard and swipe to the number/symbol you want, after which it returns to the normal keyboard?

Did not know that. I have done it on accident before
