Ok, I have researched and researched about this issue and usually pretty good at figuring things out before asking. i cant find an answer. I have Samsung Galaxy S7 tmobile phone. Which i found out was Blacklisted for being reported lost. and now with a recent blacklist check on Tmobile site, it also says its blocked for unpaid services. I brought my phone to a metropcs a store and had a specialist help me out. 5 days later after paying for an unlock, my phone has a clean slate for black list only under a few random carriers im not familiar with, but one it is clean for is Metropcs(mind you ive used several different search engines) and only tmobiles search engines tell me its blocked. and all others just simply say its clean, while another says atleast out of the few, that it is clean for metro pcs and unknown for Tmobile. But since the guy at metro proccessed the unblock. My tmobile service will work, BUT only while connected to Wifi. and when i turn Wifi off, it goes back to saying "not registered to a service" and continues to say searching. i cant understand why the service turns on and works with Wifi turned on.(im sure its not just wifi im using) i can text call etc... and doesnt work alone just with the Tmobile service. I have been so excited as i havnt had a phone for a month now and now super fustrated that i cant get this to work. Is there any hope that i can fully clean the blacklist for this phone with tmobile? if not. can i switch my service to Metro Pcs as atleast on one of the search engines it does say its clean for Metro Pcs.

The phone will not work. Having an unlock has nothing to do with it.

If you want the phone to work you're going to have to pay the TMobile balance.

This is why most stolen phones are sent abroad.

but does this just apply to wokring with the service it isnt fully payed off for, like i mentioned. The service will work if i am connected to Wifi. The tmobile symbol will come up, and i will have full bars. also. can i not use metro pcs service as it shows it is clean on the IMEI check

There are all kinds of imei swapping services on ebay.
thank yoou for the info. im just trying to figure a way to make this phone i have servicable, thru My orginal tmobile, or even an alternatice such as metropcs. could u explain to me what you mean by imei swapping tho. and if the phone is compltley screwed, i dont want to "swap" or trade it for someone elses, to screw them, i have read people have sold bad phones on ebay, and have had to reimbrse the buyer for that exact reason. because they did not make the buyer aware of its condition. not working

Metro PCS is owned by TMOBILE. Of course the phone will work on Wi-Fi.

It won't work on the carrier's network.

how does the phone simply work on wifi? im not speaking of the phone, or data. im sepaking ofr service.. when i am connected to WIFI, it allows me to use Tmobiles service(as if i turn on wifi-prefered calling and it chooses between the two.) texting, calling. voicemail., it finds tmobile and registers my network for my service. before my unblock was done this didnt work, because it was Blocked. yea i can either way use wifi and connect to the interenet, but like a phone with no sim chip in it. you can use wifi. but will have no service still, and not be able to make even a wifi call.
that i what i dont understand. isnt the fact that the service is blocked, using wifi still goes thru tmobile service if i can make a call or text. on that phone. but im not getting much help here, i guess all hope is compltley lost. that sucks :( im j.s initial response. . from my understanding. with it being blocked for non payment, tmobile blocks it on their servers. and certain carriers u can still use, cause they havnt blocked you individually from their servers, tho some do share blacklists, mainly for stolen phones.. bt thanks again everyone. and excuse me.
