Need feedback and shared experiences from those having both Samsung phones and iPhones.
So I capture various HEVC videos with my S21 with 4 configurations: 4K30, FHD60, FHD30, HD30.
Obviously, Samsung's own Gallery app can play them all just fine. But OneDrive and Goggle Photos choked on the 4K30 and FHD30 videos, only showing green block the whole frame with some glitches at the upper corner. Only FHD60 and HD30 videos work fine.
The same issues also happen when I copied the videos to my iPhone and my mac (using Quicktime). Only FHD60 and HD30 videos play fine. 4K30 and FHD30 show with half of the frame being green block (simply blank screen on the iphone). VLC on the mac is the only player that can play all those properly.
Anybody with the same experiences? It's really curious what's wrong here. Is it Samsung's fault? It kinda sucks that my option for videos is limited to just FHD60 or HD30.
