I will definitely purchase one of these if they are priced under $200. Anyone else think this will be an Apple TV competitor? Hopefully they are under $200 so I can pick one up and slap some XBMC on it.

Seems like it could be better than a console. Play some games on your TV with the phone as the controller.

Apple really needs to allow the app store to access the app store.

Well, looks like I won't be getting another Roku. This will go perfect with my Samsung Smart TV.

Damn. That's impressive.

It's like those WD drives on steroids.

If the price was right, I'd be seriously tempted.

$200 is a bit ambitious if it has a 1TB HDD (maybe not impossible, though...)

Apple TV competitor? Apple TV will probably be about half the price and is very attractive to anybody who has an iTunes library on their computer, or wants to stream from their iPad to the telly.

This, on the other hand, sounds as if it could actually act as your home media server. Question is, whether they can come up with something as easy to use - DLNA is a can of worms although I have had some luck using it to stream video from my Samsung phone to my telly (many Smart TVs, BD Players and PVRs can be used in DLNA rendering mode).

Will I be able to install xbmc? If yes then it's the prefect device for me! Can't wait!

PLEX sounds as if it is a bit further along: http://www.plexapp.com/mobile/index.php

Wake me up if someone gets MythTV (even the front end) running on this!

...although if it's XBMC you want, and you don't mind a bit of techy fiddling, the Raspberry Pi works amazingly well with XBMC.
